Larry Guise

Larry has over 35 years’ experience in urban, rural and regional planning in the public and private sectors.
His experience covers a broad spectrum of land use planning and development including strategic planning in metropolitan and regional areas, structure planning, policy development, statutory planning, subdivision design and planning consents.
Larry has the proven ability to conceptualise, research, design and deliver projects. He is experienced in working with, and leading, multi-disciplinary project teams and engaging and collaborating with stakeholders, the community and decision-makers in achieving visionary, creative and workable outcomes.
With a solid grounding in statutory and strategic planning based in metropolitan Perth, Larry moved to the South West of WA in 1989 to manage several innovative regional plans and strategies before becoming Regional Manager of the State Government’s Department of Planning and principal regional advisor to the Western Australian Planning Commission.
Following his extensive public sector experience, Larry joined TME Town Planning Management Engineering in 2005. TME became part of Calibre in 2015. Over 13 years atTME / Calibre, Larry was able to apply his strategic planning, statutory planning, design and project management skills to assist private and public sector clients with a wide variety of projects.
In December 2018, Larry established the town planning consultancy Larry Guise Planning Pty Ltd, trading as AcrossPlanning.
Larry is a Planning Institute of Australia Registered Planner and in 2019 was elected by PIA as a Fellow.
